This award was presented to John Ferrie for his unprecedented leadership
role in the drought crisis that has impacted many businesses in
Southern
New Jersey. He has successfully mobilized landscape owners and
other
related businesses who have been severely affected by the state’s
drought restrictions that many believe are unwarranted in our area.
Mr.
Ferrie has generated major publicity to the problem are beyond the
borders of Atlantic and Cape May counties. He has successfully united
the landscapers of South Jersey in a passionate effort to remove
portions of the restrictions that have resulted in the loss of millions
of dollars in business. Mr. Ferrie has brought to his industry a
true
spirit of business.
